| As MPJCDS waiting lists grew and the City of
Palo Alto determined that the School could not rely on leased classrooms, one potential
site for a permanent facility came to view: a parcel of land adjacent to the Albert L.
Schultz Jewish Community Center, the school's current home. This
acre and a half site can accommodate an elementary school with two classes per grade,
allowing MPJCDS to serve many families currently excluded due to space constraints and
providing a strong base on which the middle school can draw. Existing classrooms leased
from the JCC will be converted to form the new middle school.

Utilizing the site adjacent to the JCC creates a Palo Alto Jewish campus,
cementing the integration of multiple aspects of Jewish life. MPJCDS adds to the Jewish
community campus, providing additional facilities for other Jewish programming needs. And
the school can utilize existing facilities at the JCC, including the auditorium, gym, and
playing fields. This will reduce costs substantially. The school can remain close to the
Ta'Enna preschool at the JCC, an important feeder school. Travel arrangements will be
greatly simplified for parents who have children at the preschool, primary and middle
schools. And while the elementary and middle schools can be separated, they will remain in
close proximity.
